I have no cable yet.

There is no wiring in place yet, with access to mains electrics nearby. The hardwire driver (a small box to power the sign) can be at the end of a 2 meter cable which will then connect to the mains. All our products can have this set up with no restrictions, which we call electrical connection 1.

I have existing mains cable.

Exactly where the product will be installed there is already mains cable exiting the wall. The hardwire driver (a small box to power the sign) will need to sit directly behind product. This set up is called electrical connection 2, and is only possible on certain designs and sizes.

I want to swap an existing mains powered light for your products, can I do this?

Yes, we have an electrical set up which will work in this context! Please head to our page where we have filtered all of the products which will work.

I already have a mains cable exiting the wall. Can I connect?

I don't have any wiring set up yet, is this a problem?

Not a problem at all. Our whole product range is available with the option to make the mains connection at the end of a 2M cable away from the sign, so you can lay the provided cable from the sign installation point to the mains. You can browse our whole product range. Need more cable? No problem we can extend to 10 on request.

Do I need an electrician?

Nearly all our products require an electrician. Any hardwire driver needs to be installed by a professional, however the electrical connection option 1.b is for a plug which can be used indoors if you have an indoor socket within 2M of the sign; for this you will just need someone competent at DIY to install.

Do you offer solar?

Unfortunately we do not believe there is a solar option which can rival our mains powered signs, so we do not offer this option at present. A solar product, in our opinion, needs to gain enough power from a dull winter day to run from 4pm to 8am on the darkest days in the UK. At present we cannot find a combination of a solar panel and battery to perform in this context at a quality and high IP rating to match our existing product range. The darkest seasons are when you want your LED house sign to perform at the best level, and with solar & battery this will be the worst performing time of year. A hardwire LED house sign from our range will provide reliable light year round, and if we ever offer solar it will be when we can deliver the quality & reliability that our hardwire options currently offer.

Can I use an indoor plug socket?

Yes we do offer a plug connection for an indoor plug socket, this is not IP rated and so it must be internal. The connection is called 1.b and you can select this on all of our LED products, so you can browse the full range.

Can I get detailed electrical information from you for my electrician?

Yes absolutely, each product has a downloadable document to explain the set up options.

Can I see a visual of my house name or number?

Once you checkout our team will email you a visual so you can approve your order before we manufacture. If you would like to see this before you buy please just contact us and we would be happy to generate this for you.

How long to do the LEDs last? Is there a warranty?

Our warranty covers all electrical parts for 3 years. The expected life of the LED modules is on average 5-7 years, and the LEDs are all replaceable, you can simply contact us when you need replacement lights which are a far lower cost than a new sign. All our fixing systems have been designed so you can easily remove the product from the wall, take out the lights and add new ones in, just like changing a lightbulb. By designing the signs with repair and replacement in mind, we can keep your high quality sign lit for decades of use.
